Justwrite Courses
Justwrite offers a variety of writing courses including half and full day workshops, term courses as well as online writing courses and tailor made courses. Topics covered in our workshops and courses include creative writing, fiction writing, memoir writing, life writing and how to write a book.
Our term courses, offered over 1 term or over 4 terms in a year, take place in a small group environment where attendees are encouraged to share and workshop their writing and will receive feedback from the course leader and other group members. These classes are held on one day or evening per week in southern Sydney suburbs (St George & Sutherland Shire).
If you don’t have the time to attend a weekly class Justwrite can offer you a range of courses to do at home. These include support and feedback and are guaranteed to get you writing and loving it.
Justwrite can also tailor a course to suit your specific needs. After an initial consultation we can design a course to help you start from wherever you are at with your writing.

"Write Your Book in 2012"
If you’ve always wanted to write a novel or memoir, don’t wait any longer.
This weekly course will guide you through the process of completing a book from the first words on the first page to the final full stop – and beyond.
Over four 9 week terms you will:
- Improve your writing skills with weekly exercises.
- Develop a writing discipline.
- Learn about the process of writing – gathering ideas, how to write, writing the first draft, revision, editing and more.
- Find your voice and get to grips with point of view and narration.
- Deepen your understanding of plot, character, structure and other elements of craft.
- Connect with other like-minded writers and share the ups and downs of the writing process.
- Workshop your writing and receive feedback from other writers.
- Find out more about publishing – traditional and self publishing.
This is a year long course conducted over four terms and will commence in February 2012. The course will be held on Wednesday Evenings (7-9pm) in the Sutherland Shire.
The cost is $200 per term or pay for the whole year and receive a 5% discount.

Memoir Writing - How to Write Your Life Story
This course introduces you to the essentials of memoir writing and includes sessions on getting started, finding your voice, recording memories and structuring your story.

Wildwords - One day Workshop
Ever wondered where wonderful writing ideas come from? How to tap into the deep well of words that lie hidden in your subconscious? Want to write but don’t know where to start?
Come along to the Wildwords Workshop and discover new ways to:

Justwrite 1 Course (Online)
This course introduces you to the first part of the writing process – getting the words on the page. It can be done as a follow up to the Introductory course or you can launch straight into it.
Through a variety of writing exercises you will discover the magic of just writing without worrying about correct punctuation, spelling or grammar. Switch off that internal critic and just let the words flow. Unleash the creativity that has been locked away and see where the writing takes you. Work through the sessions at your own pace.
6 Week Course, includes a 30 minute feedback and discussion session via e-mail or phone per week. Face to face coaching is also available.

Justwrite 2 Course (Online)
A continuation on the first course, or for those who want to focus more on the craft of writing, this series of sessions takes you further into the writing process and looks at topics such as structure, character, narrative voice, plot, writing style, revising and editing.
More experienced writers may like to do this course without completing Justwrite 1.
8 Week course, includes reading, editing and feedback on your writing each session and an optional face to face coaching is also available.
